“House Negro” Diane E. Watson and the Congressional Black “Buffalo Soldier” Caucus Reintroduce the “White Man’s” Version of the “Cherokee Stomp Dance”

 By Richard Boyden – An Opinion With Substance

Published in the Dakota/Lakota Journal

 Our country was founded in large part by immigrants, and they helped pave the way for all Americans to live in a country that values liberty and freedom. The greatness of our country stems from its diversity.” Diane E. Watson

  "Dear Father, have pity on me,

I have nothing to eat;

I am dying of thirst,

Everything I owned is gone."

    Indian lament sung during a Ghost Dance.

My My My, what would the great Oglala Lakota Holy Man and Chief Crazy Horse say to African-Un-American’s Diane E. Watson and the Congressional Black “Buffalo Soldier” Caucus of “House Negro’s” calling for the termination of the Cherokee Nation through H.R. 2824, H.R. 2895 and H.R. 3002!?

(The Capital of the “White Masters” Nation, Washington D.C. is not only the political home of House Negro Diane E. Watson but also “home” of her beloved “REDSKINS” football team. Descendants of x-slave “BLACK Freed Men” make up the majority of the roster.

Of course, using the “R” word is acceptable to Watson (Racist Hypocrite!) even though it represents the history of white men (and Buffalo Soldiers) collecting their “blood/bounty” money by providing evidence they murdered a “REDSKIN”.

They brought to the “White Man’s Bounty Bank” mutilated body parts of murdered ”REDSKINS” (breasts, testicles, scalps, heads) so they could collect their “blood money”, even as her football team is symbolically doing now!  Hey Watson! How about the “Washington NIGGERSKINS” since there aren’t any “REDSKINS” on YOUR TEAM!

Crazy Horse would attribute his ASSASSINATION to the more then likely intentional mistranslation of his Lakota words spoken at a “peace treaty gathering” with United States Government soldiers through a black African x slave “Buffalo Soldier” representing the White man’s government. (Joseph Marshall III – Lakota Author).

He would expose the fact that the 9th Calvary of the BLACK “BUFFALO SOLDIERS” brought at least one if not two 40 mm Hotchkiss Guns of the four (plus two Gatling guns) used to rip to pieces and shred the bodies close to 300 innocent Lakota children, women, and men of Chief Big Foot’s people at Wounded Knee. These “former slaves” of whom Watson is a descendent of, were “buying their freedom” to become “Freed Men”, from their “White Masters” as “money paid mercenaries” in their participation in this most diabolical, black, and evil act of cold blooded mass murder

(Stationed at Pine Ridge Agency: Brigadier General John R. Brooke and Companies F, I and K of the 9th (Coloured) Cavalry and 1 Hotchkiss breech loading 2 pounder cannon (which fired like a Gatling gun.

Stationed at Rosebud Agency: Lieutenant Colonel A. T. Smith Companies A and G of the 9th (Coloured) Cavalry, 1 Hotchkiss breech loading 2 pounder cannon. Troopers from the 9th and 7th Cavalry dispatched to retrieve Chief Big Foot and his people.

The Hotchkiss Gun was a five barrel revolving cannon. It was manufactured in 37mm; 40mm; 47mm and 57mm versions. It used explosive shells and had a rate of fire of 80 rounds per minute. The Hotchkiss Guns used at Wounded Knee were the: Hotchkiss Breech-loading Steel Mountain Rifle, caliber 1.65 inches {40mm}; length of bore, 24.72 calibers; weight of tube, 116.6 pounds; weight of carriage, 220 pounds; weight of exploding cartridge, 2 pounds 10 ounces; effective range, 4,200 yards. Personally, I feel the reason why only 150 some slaughtered Lakota children, women, and men were buried at Wounded Knee is because of the fact ONLY that many bodies were intact enough TO BURY!)

BLACK  MERCENARY "BUFFALO SOLDIER" ON THE LEFT WITH HOTCHKISS GUN!

He would point out that the “BLACK Buffalo Soldiers” have always been willing to track down and murder Indians wherever and whenever commanded to do so!

(The 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments of “BLACK Buffalo Soldiers” conducted campaigns against American Indian tribes from Montana, Texas, New Mexico, South Dakota and Arizona. Throughout the era of the Indian Wars, approximately twenty percent of the U.S. Cavalry troopers were African Americans. They fought over 177 engagements against the Apache, Comanche, Ute, Kiowa, Shoshone, Cheyenne, Bannock, Kickapoo, Sioux and Blackfoot. At least 18 Medals of Honor were presented to Black Buffalo Soldiers during the Western Campaigns!)

He would say that the Race of the Red Man is as different as the Race of the White Man is as different as the Race of the Black Man!

(Indian descendants today have to prove their tribal citizenship through a family member listed on the official tribal nations' roll book by blood linkage. Anyone of another race claiming Indian heritage today has to prove their blood linkage to a family member listed on the official Indian nation roll book. - Mike Graham, Full Blooded Cherokee. Furthermore, the Cherokee have the Creator given and “Treaty” RIGHT to preserve and restore their unique racial identity as contained in their “genetic identity”!)

He would remind you the decedents of African slaves, that Indian Nations were one of the ONLY “safe places” for escaping African slaves to not only find protection and refuge, but were received and accepted among those Nations.

He would ask you, “Why NOW are you, as decedents of those same African ex-slaves called the “Freed Men”, accusing the Cherokee Nation of “racism” because they are exercising their Treaty right as a Sovereign Nation to maintain and honor and preserve their own blood and racial identity?

He would point out that it was the United States Government who “mandated in the treaty of 1866” that “ex-slaves” become a part of the Cherokee Nation and this was not a “treaty request” by the Cherokee Nation and People.

(The freedmen benefited from the consequent allotment of land through this “treaty” by receiving nearly ½ million acres of Cherokee land and cash payments.  The freedmen did not participate in the rebuilding of the Cherokee Nation after the allotment of lands.  It was Cherokee Indians that rebuilt the nation during the first half of the 20th century.  Now that the Cherokee Nation is strong again, some non-Indians want the benefit of the work and sacrifices of Indians! - Marvin Jones, Cherokee)

He would say that only a small number of individual Cherokees had “slaves” and the Cherokee Nation itself NEVER was a “slave holding Nation”!

(It is a historical fact, that of the FREED SLAVES who remained in the south, there was a far bigger percentage of them who OWNED SLAVES compared to whites at that time. New Orleans in 1860 had around 3,000 Freed Slaves. Of those 29% were themselves SLAVE HOLDERS!! A black widow & her son in south Louisiana owned 152 slaves in 1860! – Historical record)

He would say that Indian Nations did not bring Africans as slaves to Turtle Island and that the Peoples of Indian Nations where the FIRST SLAVES of whites on this land!

He would point out that nowhere in the History of “Black ” political records, has your people called for the honoring and restoring of the broken Treaties made between the White United States Government and Indian Nations, the return of their lands and including the Treaties made with the Cherokee Nation!

(Has anyone read any written or spoken word of a “Congressional Black Buffalo Soldier Caucus member including Diane Watson, calling for the paying American Indians the over $200 billion in “LOST” tribal trust monies or the return of their “stolen land”?)

Crazy Horse would tell Diane E. Watson and friends, “How dare you, you who should know better, attack the Cherokee Nation in this most evil act to further the destruction of our Peoples?

In ending, Crazy Horse would say that it was a "Black Buffalo Soldier" named "Grabber", who as a "translator" for the Whites, INTENTIONALLY mistranslated his Lakota words Crazy Horse was speaking that led to his "assassination".

“Therefore, I leave you with these words…

“You are no different then those who enslaved you and brought you here!

“And because of what you are doing to the Cherokee Nation, even ALL INDIAN NATIONS, that you then will suffer with those of our enemies when the judgment of the Creator comes on this land to destroy all those Whites who have hated us and who continue to murder us in body and spirit”. (See Hopi Prophecy!)

“You of ALL PEOPLE, should have known better and been our allies and friends, but because of your love of the White man’s money, you have allowed his evil spirit to enter into your hearts and have betrayed us even as they have and now you have become even as they are”. Aho!

Ballard Of The Hotchkiss Gun

Barracks Ballad by Private. W. H. Prather, an African-American member I Troop, Ninth Cavalry (Black Buffalo Soldiers). Composed and sung by troops during the "Wounded Knee" campaign of 1890 In honor of the victory at Wounded Knee

The Red Skins left their Agency, the Soldiers left their Post,
All on the strength of an Indian tale about the Messiah's ghost
Got up by the savage chieftans to lead their tribes astray;
But Uncles Sam wouldn't have it so, for he ain't built that way.
They swore that this Messiah came to them in visions sleep,
And promised to restore their game and Buffalos a heap,
So they must start a big ghost dance, then all would join their band,
And may be so we lead the way into the great Bad Land.

Chorus:
They claimed the shirt Messiah gave, no bullet could go through,
But when the soldiers fired at them they saw this was not true.
The Medicine man supplied them with their great Messiah's grace,
And he, too, pulled his freight and swore the 7th hard to face.

About their tents the Soldiers stood, awaiting one and all,
That they might hear the trumpet clear when sounding General call
Or Boots and Saddles in a rush, that each and every man
Might mount in haste, ride soon and fast to stop this devilish band
But Generals great like Miles and Brooke don't do things up that way,
For they know an Indian like a book, and let him have his sway
Until they think him far enough and then to John they'll say,
"You have better stop your fooling or we'll bring our guns to play."

Chorus:
They claimed the shirt, etc.

The 9th marched out with splendid cheer the Bad Lands to explo'e-
With Col. Henry at their head they never fear the foe;
So on they rode from Xmas eve 'till dawn of Xmas day;
The Red Skins heard the 9th was near and fled in great dismay;
The 7th is of courage bold both officers and men,
But bad luck seems to follow them and twice has took them in;
They came in contact with Big Foot's warriors in their fierce might
This chief made sure he had a chance of vantage in the fight.

Chorus:
They claimed the shirt, etc.

A fight took place, 'twas hand to hand, unwarned by trumpet call,
While the Sioux were dropping man by man - the 7th killed them all,
And to that regiment be said "Ye noble braves, well, done,
Although you lost some gallant men a glorious fight you've won."
The 8th was there, the sixth rode miles to swell that great command
And waited orders night and day to round up Short Bulls band.
The Infantry marched up in mass the Calvary's support,
And while the latter rounded up, the former held the fort.

Chorus:
They claimed the shirt, etc.

E Battery of the 1st stood by and did their duty well,
For every time the Hotchkiss barked they say a hostile fell.
Some Indian soldiers chipped in too and helped to quell the fray,
And now the campaign's ended and the soldiers marched away.
So all have done their share, you see, whether it was thick or thin
And all helped break the ghost dance up and drive the hostiles in.
The settlers in that region now can breathe with better grace;
They only ask and pray to God to make John hold his base.

Chorus:
They claimed the shirt, etc.

 American Horse

"They turned their guns, Hotchkiss Guns upon the women who were in the lodges standing there under a flag of truce, and of course as soon as they were fired upon they fled...There was a woman with an infant in her arms who was killed as she almost touched the flag of truce [which flew over the Lakota camp], and the women and children of course were strewn all along the circular village until they were dispatched. Right near the flag of truce a mother was shot down with her infant; the child not knowing that its mother was dead was still nursing, and that especially was a very sad sight. The women as they were fleeing with their babes were killed together, shot right through, and the women who were very heavy with child were also killed...After most all of them had been killed a cry was made that all those who were not killed or wounded should come forth and they would be safe. Little boys who were not wounded came out of their places of refuge, and as soon as they came in sight a number of soldiers surrounded them and butchered them there...Of course it would have been all right if only the men had been killed; we would feel almost grateful for it. But the fact of the killing of the women, and more especially the killing of the young boys and girls who are to go to make up the future strength of the Indian people, is the saddest part of the whole affair and we feel it very sorely."
