Her real name is Sherry Denise Messick.  Before she decided to become “Cherokee” she went by her middle name to scam people.  And yes one of her issues is she is a liar.

I googled her, and found your site, and your picture of her.  Just so you know, she really doesn’t look like that.  I can promise you, she is not doing anything for anyone but herself.  I really hope people are not sending her money. 

As far as proof, all I can give you is her name, everything she has online is by this raven winterhawk name.  Look up marriage licenses in Michigan, where (even though she is married to my father in-law) she married a Terry Morse.  I believe there are still pics on the internet of this wedding also.  She did live in PG county in Maryland.  Cheltenham is the city.   She is not aware that I can see her fb page, nor does she know the family knows her alias.  We search her every now and then to make sure she doesn’t have any plans on coming home.  She’s been gone for 4 years now.

She is a nut, and should not be trusted.

She is currently married to Gregg Messick (his first name is Ronald, but he goes by Gregg).  She hasn’t been around for over 4 years though, so although they are still married, it is by paper only.  He is a great man, who made a mistake and knocked her up 31 years ago, and tried to make it right.  There entire marriage has been a lie, I could tell you stories that would make you want to kill her.  She married the Terry guy while she was married to Gregg.  We tried to phone the Michigan Police dept, but they weren’t that interested.  Oh and Gregg is the one she always writes about and says he is dead.  I can promise you he is alive and well, just saw him last night, and we are all going hiking tomorrow.  I don’t usually go hiking with ghosts J  And he grew up in Bristol, just like she did.  He went into the air force to take care of the children, and has retired here in Maryland.

There is no Cherokee in her that I am aware of.  Maybe somewhere down the line, but I think that is the case with most people.  If I listen to my Grandmother I’ve got some Indian in me too, although I’m as pale as they come lol.

Be careful what you believe from her, a lot of her “boyfriends” are fake people she has made up just to get a story going.  She even has a fake profile for Glenn on MySpace, which is her brother’s name, yet not his profile.  She even has a fake one for my brother in-law. 

Her only children are Chad who is 31 and Brad (my husband) who is 29.  She had a hysterectomy and is unable to have any more children (although the pictures are cute, they are stolen from someone else).  When she was married to the Terry Morse guy, she pulled the same thing and told him she was pregnant, and at the same time I was pregnant with my daughter.  She even had the same due date as me, and always wanted my sonogram pics, which I never provided her with.  She also wanted to be there during the delivery, but we informed the hospital staff that she was not allowed in. 

As far as where she lives in TN, I’m not sure, I know it is in Bristol, but I don’t know what the house looks like.  I do know that her brothers are alive and well, and that one of them is rich (something about Verizon wireless when it first started he has a lot of stock in it), but if anything he may be helping her out.  My best guess is that she is getting money from people with big hearts who think she is in a tuff spot.  Every once in a while she will call Gregg and get money from him, tell him she’ll come back if he doesn’t give it to her. 

When she married Terry, she went by the name Denise Messick instead of Sherry. 

I must say, I’ve always wondered why no one questions the fact that she is in her late 40’s and looks better than I do at 28?
