A Short Story about Indian Hating, Racism, Censorship, Racial Profiling, Employee Abuse, Hypocrisy and "Diversity-Perversity"!

Dedicated to my good friend Paul Beaver, former head photographer/photographer of the “Old Independence Examiner”. Paul was cast out into the streets like nothing more then garbage by Steve Curd, the New Publisher of the Independence Examiner. This is an article Paul wrote after visiting the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.

Welcome to the “New Independence Examiner”, a paper now controlled by a dictator, not a “publisher”. A paper that now defines freedom of speech and expression as nothing more then “ignorant diatribes” and reason for “censorship” and "banishment", because when one is the new publisher, you can do what you chose, conspire against a long term employee and caste them into the streets like no more then garbage. You can accuse the local Independence Police Department of having an embedded “White racist policy” called “racial profiling”, using ones diversified/perversified affirmative action hating reporters of anyone who does not think like or view the world through their “black eyes”. And of course, this includes American Indians, who have fallen victim to all of the above past and present.

Steve Curd is the new publisher of the "NEW Independence Examiner". He replaced Ben Weir, a man with a heart, full of compassion and understanding and most importantly, integrity. Under the leadership of Weir, Operation Morning Star's ministry was written about over 30 times over a span of 11 years, receiving needed, grateful, and extensive coverage so as to help meet the needs of American Indians suffering in extreme conditions of poverty, something the likes of a Curd and his peers don't have to deal with on a daily basis, and in fact, the conditions of said poverty is the direct result of like minded spirits like Curd. So, as you can see from the above quoted email, the ministry to American Indians through Operation Morning Star is now "censored/exterminated" by Curd.

I remember first meeting Curd while visiting some of the editors and a very good friend mine who was an employee at that time, Photo Editor Paul Beaver. I stopped by Curd's office and introduced myself and shared with him all that the "Old" Independence Examiner had done for American Indians having been the informational conduit to the inhabitants of Independence which in turn resulted in over 120 tons of food and other needed items shipped to impoverished Native Americans living on Indian Reservations in South Dakota.

That information appeared to surprise him and he seemed a bit taken back but nevertheless on the surface, accepting of what I shared. Then I told him that Beaver had been sent to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation to take photographs and do a story. His reaction was..."Beaver went THERE!?" I said yes and with the permission and blessing of the previous Publisher Ben Weir as well as the support of the other Editors. It was evident to me that he was NOT liking of that piece of information and not to long after, I discovered why.

Curd arrived from the Lees Summit Journal and before that, he worked for the Kansas City Star. THEN it hit me!

I remembered that 2 years ago, when Curd was publisher at the Lees Summit Journal, I had requested that information about Operation Morning Star's mission to American Indians be reported on. I was shot down quicker then one of the Lakota slaughtered at Wounded Knee on Dec. 28, 1890. No understanding, no compassion, no mercy, not one drop of ink would be given towards a ministry to and for American Indians at Curd's paper. Not then, and not now at the New Independence Examiner, where his heartless spirit has now found residence!

So, as you can see from the above quoted email, the ministry to American Indians through Operation Morning Star is now "KKK-Censored" by Curd, the double minded speak out of both sides of his mouth with “forked tongue” White man who has had published in the last 2 month, information on OTHER organizations who have missions overseas even and in other areas of the US, but NONE focus on American Indians like OMS does.

Of course, Curd has brought with him and incorporated the racist Lees Summit Journal's position (which he probably is author of) in taking the lame duck lying oxymoronic position about the Examiner only covering "local issues" while "his paper" features an article written by Lois McDonald entitled "Adoption Enriches Everyone's Lives" in which she writes " November is National Adoption Month. There are more than 500,000 kids in America waiting for a family ... just like yours." Unless that is, you are an American Indian who needs "Adoption" as seen in the eyes of Mr. Hate Indians Curd! The New Independence Examiner can publish articles about the Ukraine "Adjusting to life in a new, different culture" but not Pine Ridge, the poorest county in the United States of America thanks to the "spiritual forefathers of genocide" represented by a Steve Curd.

What did I do to incur such hate and wrath from Curd on a personal level. Well, besides having a love for American Indians, which obviously is distasteful to him, I simply expressed my opinion concerning a series of recent articles in "his paper". What I shared was no different then when his "Editors" and editorials do the same under his divine leadership OR the entourage of Hayes organizations and supporters that obviously get to use the Curd's New Independence Examiner for "expressing their public opinion". I wonder if all further emails from them are being ignored like mine and if they are no longer welcome in Curd's controlled environment!?

I responded to the Independence Examiner's ongoing, distorted, racist, and hateful attack against the Independence Police Department's so-called "policy of racial profiling" with the recent focus on a black woman named Yvette Hayes, who they contend, was "racially profiled" ONLY because she was "black" when stopped by "White" Independence Police Officers.. The reporters (with Curd's approval) pushing this "race agenda" are “Editor” Andre Riley and “Police Reporter” Toriano Porter, Both are black. In reading an article by Porter, I sent him an email and cc'd it to Curd. Porter responded in an email back to me with the following. Please take note of his "racial objectivity" when mentioning the Independence Police Department.

"WOW" I thought! How insightful and such a documented factual response, so much so that I felt this "prejudicial information/statement" was important enough to forward to Fred Mills, Chief of the Independence Police Department, who then forwarded it to Don Rymal the Mayor of Independence and on and on it went! :)

WOW AGAIN! Chief Mills IMMEDIATE reaction was to visit "Fine Editor" Curd and discuss the "racial profiling" of blacks by his predominately but demographically balanced "White" police department as written about by an obviously subjectively racist against White Police Officers black reporter! Porter apparently was assigned (by Curd?) to be this "objective police reporter" while at the same time, he was using the New Independence Examiner to "racially profile" the predominately White Independence Police Department as being racist against blacks! Chief Mills did not know this until he received Porters email from me. And for sure, he had no idea that Porter had such warm and fuzzy feelings for his men. From what I understand in talking with my Police sources, Hayes “race” was not in the report given to the Independence Police Department! How can such INSIDE INFORMATION be known by the New Independence Examiner's “black police reporter” about an alleged “black victim of racial profiling”? Hmmm…either he did not do his homework as an “investigative reporter”, for which he should be “thrown out in the streets” by Curd (as Curd did to Paul Beaver for a much "lesser crime"), or did he knew something that nobody else knew…hmmmm! Could this be a "racial conspiracy"?!

Furthermore, the Jeep that Hayes was driving had DARK tinted windows which meant the stopping officers could not see who or what was inside the jeep. I am sure they also VIVIDLY REMEMBER that when a KC "White" police officer approached another TINTED WINDOWED vehicle in KC recently, that he was shot, almost died, and is crippled and this by the black criminal inside the black tinted window car. Manual procedures allow for using precaution to protect your own life and which information is neatly ignored and "blacked out" by Porter, Riley, and the "New Independence Examiner". After all, with them, any stopping of a black is "racial profiling".

Or it could be that the "ignorant diatribes" called "reporting" by Porter (and Riley), is there attempt to promote their career goals by plagiarizing the race baiting/hating of Whites format made famous and successful by poverty pimping duo of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, who tag any and all "Whites" as racist when opportunity presents itself by fabricating in your face lies. So why not file a law suit against the City I.E. CITIZENS of INDEPENDENCE and the POLICE DEPARTMENT using the same agenda complements of Porter, Riley, and their “handler/promoter” Steve Curd! (Hmmm...I smell money in the form of a "free lunch program".)

Anything to make the WHITE members of the Independence Police Department appear that they did not follow their guidelines and according to my investigation, they followed them to a "T".

Oh...I give Porter and Riley both an "F" on their reporting. Hayes and her supporting caste receive "Honorary Emmy" nominations. Curd's New Independence Examiner on this story gets the "Joke of the Year" award! Curd is exposed in this "ignorant diatribe" of front page stupidity as being one incompetent Publisher. And this another reason why I called the reporting the equivalent of a "free lunch program" in my email because by any OTHER journalistic standards (which don't exist with the New Independence Examiner's Porter, Riley, and Curd), that feeble attempt at and failure of being a piece of professional investigative journalism would not qualify for a "deserved" pay check. But hey, sensationalizing and distorting has been known to bring additional readership.

And believe it or not, there are real LIFE and DEATH reasons for WHITE Police Officers to "racially profile blacks" when it comes to their own safety and lives (I am saying to take PRECAUTIONS!), click HERE and be sure to read page 34 which shows that "White felon kills black officer-2.4%" of the time & "Black felon kills white officer- 28.5%" of the time. Then check the archives of the KC Star or talk to the KC Police and find out how many officers have been shot at, wounded, and almost killed by black criminals in the last 6 years...and ask how many of the shooters were White. Also note, in FBI statistics, a Hispanic is White!

Lets now focus on some MAJOR denigrating and demeaning RACIAL, GENDER, AND HATE profiling of human beings by a media entity in the Community of Independence, something that is truly NEWSWORTHY -

Let's discuss the "racial profiling" of ones OWN RACE by using the "N WORD" (take note Riley and Porter!), profiling of women as "bitch's and ho's" etc. and using the "F" word in the name of "Diversity"?

Now THAT'S OK with Curd and the "New Independence Examiner"! The same Toriano Porter who calls White Independence police officers "racist", freely and without conscience and moral integrity, promotes the filth of perversity (called "diversity" by default) in his "There's a New Mayor In Town" article. The words used in the "rap music" of the "New Mayor" are demeaning and disrespectful to women, racist towards ones own BLACK race, and express a carnal, sensual, and devilish spirit that is Godless period. Even the Sodom and Gomorrah inspired “Pitch” thought highly enough of the subject of this article, that they too featured it in their paper, a paper which promotes and upholds lifestyles reflective of the fallen pedophile infested civilizations of Egypt, Greece and Rome.

No "ignorant diatribe" label put on that article by Curd...no sir! And Curd evidently sees no reason to fire one who's article promotes incognito filth, moral degeneracy, and a fornicating, copulating like rabbits Satanically inspired devilish "DEATHSTYLE" (say HELL!) to young black, white, red, and brown youth right HERE in the CITY OF INDEPENDENCE and EASTERN JACKSON COUNTY! Yep, this is what is called "Diversity" Curd style!

Next! I now need to point out the "New Independence Examiner's" RACIST CENSORSHIP of a headline of an article written by Frank Haight on Operation Morning Star's "Adopt A Lakota Elder or Family" program. I saw the article after it was published and called Frank, a good, honorable, Godly man and friend of mine. I asked him why the "head" contained nothing about the subject. He told me he DID include "Native American" (the "politically correct term") and "adoption" when he submitted the headline and article for publication.

I than called Managing Editor Dale Brindle, another man of integrity and second in command at the Examiner (and who should have been the NEW PUBLISHER!). Brindle said that Haight's "headline" was DELETED/CHANGED by B L A C K Editor Andre. And the obviously intended and planned result of this change was?

Yep, few of the readers (those supporting Operation Morning Star over the last 11 years) were drawn to the article who would have responded IF the heading included Native American as Haight had submitted. Helping American Indian Elders and families after all, is what the article was about! So why the change?

My reasoning is this. Riley and I had a past discussion concerning his one sided biased reporting on “inter-racial crimes” in which I objected to the fact he more times then not, leaves out the race of a victim if they are WHITE and the criminals are African American. I pointed that out when he wrote an article about the rape of a White woman by a black named Banks in Grain Valley and that the race of the rapist was left out. Riley ignored my observation.

"He told me over and over again while he had me that he could cut my throat, and repeatedly told me that he would kill me," Whitehead said.

She is still traumatized and suffering to this day. You see, if the "race roles" were reversed, then be assured, Riley would let all the readers of the New Examiner know that! (Say D U K E again!) The other possibility is that American Indians are not "newsworthy" for this "Editor" and his "diversity" co-worker. I say BOTH!

I have also noted that Riley's "race issue" articles ALWAYS focus on Whites... Whites... Whites... when it comes to his ethno-centric agenda of "subliminal racism". Meaning? All his articles about "racism" are "Whites Only" when the "victim is black" I have not one time seen Riley focus on black on White crime here in Eastern Jackson County. Meaning? That should be obvious.

I have yet to see a story where a White IS a RACE HATE victim of a black in a crime. When black on White, ALWAYS called "random" crimes. I think of Mr. Robert Osborn, the White Hy Vee employee murdered by two black males, (the murderers of this White man stated to police they were first "looking for a WHITE woman to kill". Riley conveniently in the name of "racial harmony" chose to leave that fact out. Then there was Mr. Steven Peters the White KC Symphony employee who was murdered by 4 black "homies" or friends of his son. I remember the brutal death of Jake Robel, a young White boy dragged to death by a black male. And there are the numerous rapes of White women by black males here in Independence and Lees Summit. Then there is Ann Harrison, the young White girl, kidnapped, raped, and murdered by blacks Nunley and Taylor. There are the car jackings, robberies, home invasions in Eastern Jackson County, black on White, not White on black. Why is that? I bet Riley really knows...go ahead...ask him.

So it stands to reason why Riley and Porter beat the "diversionary drums" pushing the Hayes agenda, trash out the Independence Police Department on a regular basis. Look at Riley's latest "ignorant diatribe" rehashing "White on White crimes" in Eastern Jackson County, implying that because of these White on White or White crimes since January 1st, Eastern Jackson County is "less safe", (including POLICE PURSUITS). Again, the black reporters hide, do not report on, and ignore black on White crime statistics. He, Porter, and Curd, apparently don’t even know that the FBI classifies Hispanics as Whites in Federal crime statistics.

The "black rap culture" of GANGS is fully exposed in this article. This what it represents in real life fully revealed violence unto the callous murdering of anyone that is in the "sights of". These elements are already in Independence but you won't see a story on this by Porter or Riley in Curds "diversity paper". Just ask the police, FBI, sheriffs department, and see what they say about "black gang" activity in "EASTERN JACKSON COUNTY"!

To get a glimpse of the thoughts of minds expressing pure Satanic evil when it comes to race hate of blacks against Whites, it is found expressed in black gang rap filth. As for American Indians and blacks, the African American contribution to "American Indian History" consists of 17 Medals Of Honor given to "Black Buffalo Soldiers" who earned their freedom from their White Masters by tracking down and killing American Indians. Black Buffalo Soldiers brought two of the 4 Hotchkiss cannons used to slaughter 300 innocent Lakota children, women, and men at Wounded Knee on Dec. 28, 1890. For history purists, it should be noted that the first “slaves” and victims of genocide at the hands of Whites were not Africans but American Indians!) What have blacks done for American Indians? Read my lips....N O T H I N G ! But they sure like that money made off of Indian stereotypes and the names associated with!

I also want to point out the the blatant double standard of “racist hypocrisy” at the New Independence Examiner. It is the failure of it’s black reporters (under the leadership of their fine editor) to point out the “racial stereotyping” of American Indians that their race obviously and intentionally ignores. God forbid anyone call the Washington “Redskins” the Washington "KikeSkins" or Washington “NiggerSkins”, right? But since blacks and "Synagogue of Satan Jews" are making that money off that racist murderous label, what matter is it to them that in so doing, they are in spiritual collusion with the very same racist Whites who received their “bounty payments” of money ONLY when they proved they murdered a “Redskin” by producing and displaying breasts and genitals of women, penises of men, and heads and scalps of children, by bringing them to the "KKK Nazi Bounty Banker". After all, if it doesn't pertain to the history of "black slavery" or the "European Holocaust", the New Independence Examiner could care less under Steve Curd.

Now to a subject dear to my heart and who all the readers of the "Old Independence Examiner" remember the name of and who for "some reason", is now mysteriously missing at the New Independence Examiner, and this is my good friend Paul Beaver. I believe without a doubt, that Paul is a victim of "gender/age" profiling, a "hostile work environment" and getting unjustly fired by Curd. I also believe this was deliberate.

Beaver was at one time the Head Photo Editor at the Old Independence Examiner under Ben Weir. When Curd arrived, Beaver was fired. Ben Weir would NOT have fired Beaver for the "reason" Curd did. Ask Curd why he fired Beaver! And off the record, EVERYONE I talked to at the Examiner said the same and what Curd did to Beaver was not right.

Paul Beaver is a personal friend of mine. He went to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation with me with permission of former Publisher Ben Weir. He wept when he saw the suffering of the people there, the children and women struggling day in and day out just to get food to eat, pay bills, stay warm and just exist, something a hate American Indians Steve Curd knows nothing about.

Beaver took photos that captured the spirituality of the people and he expressed a love towards them that I have yet to experience among those I have taken with me to reservations before. He was loved and accepted by all the Lakota that met him more then any White man (including myself) I have ever seen. They saw into his heart, that there was no hate or guile there, and that he was not a double minded self serving racist hypocrite attempting to appear great in the eyes of men.

Beaver wrote about his experiences on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. He did not promote "perversity" in the name of "diversity" in his article. His photography skills are second to none of anyone who ever entered the doors of the Examiner or is there now including the new Photo Editor! He was fired not for pimping a fornicating, filthy, God-less lifestyle or for being a racist against Indians like other's at the New Independence Examiner.

He was fired for two things only. One was doing his job professionally just like ALL other professional photographers in the media. The other reason why Paul Beaver was fired was because he represented the Love of God and Jesus Christ, by those who did not, do not, and ARE NOT at the “New Independence Examiner”!

In conclusion, as President of Operation Morning Star, I am thankful that I was allowed by God to see and experience the “New Independence Examiner’s” evil spirit of unrighteous, vindictive, racist, and hypocritical hateful change under and inspired by Steve Curd. I am thankful I did not make the mistake of having this charity written about in a lying, racist against American Indians "New Independence Examiner", a defunct and dying paper.

I will go out of my way to inform OMS supporters (over 3000) just what Operation Morning Star experienced from Mr. Curd and his obedient servants.

And since I am due to be back on radio within 4 months, I will do my best to enhance it's already in motion self-inflicted "Curd-plosion" by suggesting to those who believe in Godliness and integrity, are true believers in Jesus (rather then pseudo Christians/Lutherans), those who care about the injustices recorded in American Indian History and who have tried to make a difference in addressing the present day sufferings of American Indians using Operation Morning Star and other like minded charities, that they ignore (say B O Y C O T T!) this paper until it apologizes to the Independence Police Department, the Residents of Independence for promoting filth and degeneracy , and American Indians who they have singled out as THE ETHNIC GROUP to not find place in the New "Hate Indians" Independence Examiner.

Personally, I think Curd should be cast out into the streets like Paul Beaver, especially since he is guilty of much greater crimes then Paul Beaver could ever be capable of! And I also think he should be replaced with either Dale Brindle or Sheila Davis!

Also, from what I hear from inside sources at the the “New Examiner”, it is losing both MONEY and EMPLOYEES at a rapidly increasing rate! That is a “indictment” right there of poor and incompetent leadership which is another reason why Curd should be dumped.

In ending, the suffering in Indian Country, past, present, and future, is because of the hundreds of thousands of callous, hateful, without compassion "Steve Curds" who ether participated in theft of Indian Land and Genocide, or looked the other way and ignored it while millions were slaughtered and whose posterity continue to suffer to this day because of the policies of similar "New Independence Examiners"!

Take note that Curd is from Oklahoma, a very WHITE RACIST hate Indians Land Stealing Treaty Breaking "State".

Maybe that "history" is embedded in the heart of Curd Which is why his not allowing for the traditional Independence Examiner coverage of our annual Christmas trip, resulted in dozens of Native American families and Elders being deprived of the love and blessings by the HUNDREDS of readers who have supported Operation Morning Star over the last 12 years. Thankfully, God blessed our trip in spite of the likes of a Steve Curd.
