Adopt - Sponsor Native American Child, Elder, or Family using Operation Morning Star

Adopt a Lakota family or Elder and help them with food and utilities.

How?

By sending money/credits in their name...not to Operation Morning Star but to the grocery store for food, propane company for propane, electric company for electricity etc. Unlike "other charities" ... "Tribal Governments" etc...the truth is you have NO PROOF of where your monies go or how they are used...do you? NOT the case with Operation Morning Star!

We will give you the name of the family or Elder and you can contact them and let them know you have sponsored them. We also have contact information for grocery and utility companies for you to contact. Let us know what you want to do.

Agnes Running Enemy on the left has been adopted. She is from Rosebud. George Bogallis, Elder on right is from Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and needs to be adopted.

Click HERE for a list of those needing help in Oglala on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. We have a list of deserving families in Kyle, Wanblee, and Potato Creek.

During the month of 7/2010...OMS connected 3 families with families...raised and had sent over $700 to grocery stores and electric companies in the name of those in need...NOT near enough...sooooooooooooo... WILL YOU HELP if you are able...or just ignore like everyone else...both Indian and White alike...which seems to be more the case lately then ever!

Son of Rachel Crazy Cat...Rosebud Sioux Tribe. This family needs to be sponsored.

You receive contact information of whoever you chose to help. You call them, write them, and can go and meet and visit them. They become YOUR FAMILY...and Operation Morning Star is the "matchmaker" and has been for 15 years.

Contact us for the name of a family or elder to sponsor.

We do NOT make a living or salary doing this...and never have and never will. Why? Because the word "Charity" means only one thing... LOVE!
